Participation of NACEM in agroecology caravan of Rio de Janeiro: is there agroecology in the State of Rio de Janeiro?

Abstract

This paper aims at exposing the experiences of members of the Agroecology Study Centers of
Cerrado Mineiro, NACEM, in the Agroecological Caravan of Rio de Janeiro, reporting the experience
of knowing the Rio de Janeiro experiences, where productive possibilities are ahead
of the market with greater purchasing power, but people engaged in quality of life, environmental
and conscious consumption of food. The exchange of agroecological experiences along the
journey promoted knowledge, with rich exchanges of knowledge and tastes and the cultural
traditions of the state of Rio. Another key point of the caravan was the possibility of establishing
contact with other agroecology centers, and discussing the difficulties, experiences, and increase
the network of agroecology.
