Abstract

The study aimed to provide students a space for critical and reflective analysis of lived reality,
taking into account the knowledge of farmers acquired through their daily experiences. The
experiment occurred in the municipality of Igarapé Miri-Pará. The field stage was carried out
through a partnership between IFPA Castanhal and the Mutirão Association. Throughout this
period, the students participated in various activities of the family. Was used as a methodological
tool the “cross-walks” that served to know the space of the property. The approach of the
students the reality of the families involved, enabled a broader view of the daily life of these
farmers and their experiences, which directly influence decision making related to the field of
agriculture.
