Abstract

Interdisciplinary experience stage consists in a period where the academics go to a rural
community and they experiment the daily life of one or more families. The community that we
work was the Zumbi of Palmaris settlement in Claudia - MT, where we live ten days with two
families ( five days with each) participating in the activities developed by them. Knowing the
community reality through the project, We were able to observe how the association is organized,
the daily settlers’ fight for the regularization of their lands, for sustainable agriculture, their
products’ sale and the recent arrival of monoculture in the settlement, what has been a matter
of concern for some families. The resulting learning from this experience, invites us to reflect
on the real social, political and cultural scenario of Brazilian rural communities and instigates
us to continue to dialogue with the farmers families. Aiming the collective construction of agroecological
knowledge.
