Building agroecological knowledge and the aldeia de bambu

Abstract

Since 2009, the event Troca de Saberes takes place anually as an agroecological territory of
resistance. It is organised at the Federal University of Viçosa during three days with the participation
of farmers, students, professors and other actors. Since 2013, to host the participants,
structures of bamboo, called Aldeia de Bambu, are built which gave a new aesthetic identity to
Troca. The work to build the Aldeia is oriented under a pedagogical perspective that involves
technical, political and social spheres.
