The protagonism of farmers based on the establishment of Agroforestry Agroecological Systems: Campesino- Campesino perspective

Abstract

The report describes a formation practice and experience realized in Sepé Tiaraju settlement
(Serra Azul, SP) in March 2016, composing as conclusion activities of a Non-Settlement project,
of which there are 35 families that have carried out an implantation of agroforestry in their
lots during 2 and a half years. The experience counted on visits in the lots and theoretical-
-practical exposition. Fifty-five people participated, among women farmers and men farmers, a
technical team from Embrapa, partners of the NGO Mutirão Agroflorestal and external guests
whom, divided into groups in a rotation system, prompted horizontal observations and exchanges
on solutions and difficulties encountered in handling. The exchanges of experiences
through action, reflection and problematization of a near reality, enabled the construction of
knowledge, the realization of assessments for a transformation of reality and improvement of
non-management and management of agroforestry systems.
