Abstract

Genetically modified transgenic seeds have dominated monocultures, bringing numerous adverse consequences. The devaluation of native seeds is linked to the economic power of conventional agriculture. Native seeds are sustainable alternatives that preserve cultural heritage and promote biodiversity in production. Their use stimulates family-based agroecological production. The Juti-MS Community Native Seed Bank is an innovative initiative aimed at promoting agroecology and food sovereignty.
