Abstract

The report aims to describe the Tree Planting Project, carried out at the Darcy Ribeiro School - Estância Belém Extension, in the Geraldo Garcia settlement, municipality of Sidrolândia/MS, and to point out the relation of the project with the Peasant-Oriented Education proposal to strengthen the resistance to remain in peasant territories. The project includes the process of collecting and exchanging seeds, producing seedlings, and planting them to reforest the school environment together with the students. This pedagogical activity encourages and values peasant knowledge, strengthening agroecological practices.
