Education actions in the construction and mobilization for Agroecology: CVT-UFSM experience

Abstract

The objective of the present essay was to present and discuss an experience related to the
promotion and teaching of Agroecology, held at the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria
(UFSM) and the Instituto Federal Farroupilha Campus Jaguari by teachers and students linked
to the Research Group and Technological Vocational Center In Agroecology, Agrobiodiversity
and Sustainability Professor José Antônio Costabeber. These actions included both extracurricular
and curricular training and its institutional process suffered ideological disputes since
UFSM, an exponent in the training of human resources in the area of agricultural sciences in
the country, especially for action in industrialized agriculture, dispute for space is very large
and often prevents the full exercise of activities that do not conform to the modus operandi. The
future prospects of the Group are the consolidation of academic disciplines with agroecological
orientation, especially in the agricultural sciences.
