Abstract

The objectives of this study were: i) to characterise the community of natural enemiesof aphid
compositionin crop cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.) and non-crop areas (edge, border and
resting stripe) and ii) to evaluate the potential biological control events on colonies of the phytophagous.
This outdoor work was held in two plots of a commercial farm with agro-ecological
basis management, located at the Horticultural Belt of La Plata. The arthropod-fauna was
studied by direct observation, manual collection and trawl.Greater richness and abundance
of natural enemies was obtained in the non-crop areas. Generalist predators were the most
frequent guild, followed by specialists, parasitoids and hyperparasitoids.
