The discourse and construction of agroecological knowledge: a print media analysis
Keywords:
Agroecology, horticulture, globo rural, Alternative agricultureAbstract
The proposal seeks to analyze from a critical point of view the discourse of how they engender
the type of written media, as well as the visual resources around subjects related to agriculture,
in the case of this work of Agroecology and alternative models. In order to do so, this study
contributes as part of the development of an interpretative investigation on the discursive and
mediatic relations that postmodern man constructs towards the different social, cultural and
historical practices. The approach of the study is qualitative and quantitative, through the content
analysis proposed by Bardin. In the analysis, the primary or secondary headlines referred
to are largely related to an agricultural model currently questioned and in many cases superimposed
by science. This so-called conventional model dominates the discourse and along with
it an economic character is placed in such a way as to construct a type of agriculture that is not
suitable for agroecological and alternative models.
