“Our weeds” An articulated work to exchange knowledge about medicinal plants in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina

Abstract

This experience was born from a collectively built proposal with social organizations and institutions
from the territory that have been working for several years in projects and activities
coordinated by the Faculty of Agricultural and Forest Sciences (FCAyF). In this context, and
in relation to practices carried out by some participants, based on traditional and ancestral
knowledge, as well as the interest in participating in them, it was thought to work with medicinal
plants, under a workshop modality , with the aim of constructing a space of recovery, socialization
and systematization of knowledge.
Working collectively in the construction of knowledge about the “weeds” contributes to biodiversity
but also to the empowerment of communities, the creation of some pathways for well
living and self-construction of autonomy.
