Abstract

This study seeks from a case study, to describe the tools and sustainable alternatives that are
employed by a farmer in the region of the Strong Axis, in the Community of Ponte Alta in the
Municipality Santarém in the western region of the State of Pará. It is believed that the results
of the successful organic production of this farmer can contribute to the stimulation, creation
and improvement of this type of initiative, promoting transitions from conventional agricultural
production to organic farming in the area of family farming in the western region of Pará.
