Abstract

The production of quality seedlings is one of the requirements of the crops, as it makes the
farm more efficient and profitable. In the organic vegetable production segment, there are few
producers of certified seedlings for the supply of family agriculture, since there is a lack of
knowledge about the raw materials and techniques, which are difficult to access and are not
compatible with the farmer’s reality. In view of the above, this paper proposes a methodology
for evaluation and monitoring of the production of vegetable seedlings, in order to record the
activities of family farmers. It was hoped to create a dialogical posture for questioning and
adaptations of technical knowledge for the realities found in their nurseries. In general, it was
observed that family farmers were economically benefited by the production of organic vegetable
seedlings.
