Abstract

The present report aims to demonstrate the process of organization and articulation between
entities and social actors involved in the organization of the 1st Agroecological and Cultural
Caravan of the Agreste of Pernambuco. The Caravan was animated by the Northeast Network
of Agroecology Centers (RENDA) and by the Agrofamiliar Nucleus of UFRPE / UAG through
projects in partnership with CNPq. Which reinforced the work with partners in the region, such
as family farmers, students and technicians. The organization, construction of the routes, the
theme, the objectives of the caravan, the participant’s workbook was worked out in the collective
with the partner entities. The caravan seeks to know experiences that minimally meet the
productive diversity of Agreste Penrambucano. The objective will be to promote the exchange
of knowledges among agricultural families, technical assistance agents, rural extension, researchers,
teachers and students with a focus on agroecology. The learning of the visitors will
enable the promotion of the capacity of the farmers, the valorization of their knowledge and
practices, emphasizing the importance of the conservation of the agrobiodiversity and of the mobilization. In addition, it will provide the opportunity to know, recognize and exchange experiences
with diverse realities of life and production, enabling research and understanding of the
challenges and potential of agroecology, and contributing to future actions that strengthen the
processes of social mobilization and consolidation of agroecology.
