Agroecology and spirituality, the necessary reencounter

Abstract

The proposal of this text is to reflect on the conceptual basis that favors the construction
of Agroecological knowledge. In this perspective, cognitive justice and epistemic equity are
essential elements in this construction, allied to spirituality that reveals itself as an essential
component of the conceptual basis of traditional peoples’ knowledge. There is a serious crisis,
also, epistemological of our current model of construction of knowledge, there is a centrality in
the European model, therefore, within a colonialist logic, that cannot respond to the problems
created by this civilization, generating a disenchantment With our current model of life, consequently
expanding our civilization crisis. It challenges us to seek a necessary rearticulating of
man with nature and thus to return to work incorporating the dimension of enchantment in our
daily relationships.
