Abstract

The Northeast region has unfavorable soil and climatic conditions for use in agriculture and
the raising of animals with high water requirements, the use of adapted plants and animals is
a strategy to be adopted. This work had the objective of awakening the potential of the Camp
Verde II settlement in the municipality of Serraria-PB, for goat breeding activity. It was made
feasible through meetings at the Campo Verde II settlement, in the municipality of Serraria-PB.
Adopting lectures and application of Participative Rural Diagnosis, detecting the need to improve
the productive infrastructure of the sector. A projection for the implementation of caprinocultura
in a property was carried out. It was concluded with this work that goat farming for the
settlement area is of great importance because it will contribute to the farmers supplying meat,
milk, skin, leather and manure, thus reducing the inflow of external inputs.
