Abstract

The Agroecology Work Group (AWG) is one of the instances of the Brazilian Association of
Forestry Students (BAFS) and is responsible in promoting activities and events that strengthen
the dissemination of agroecological knowledge in the academic community and in the external
society. Since 2015, due to the deliberation of the 45th Brazilian Congress of Forestry Students
(BGFE), the AWG management has been under the responsibility of the Forestry students at
the Federal University of Rondonia. Thus, since the beginning of this current management,
the AWG has participated in several activities and events that encourage the dissemination of
agroecological knowledge in the state. Therefore, this technical experience report describes
the main activities developed by the AWG and how it has been an important student entity that
promotes agroecology in the Amazon.
