This work is the result of research and extension activities carried out by the NGO UCODEP -
Unity and Cooperation Association for the development of peoples in the Baixo Tocantins and
Salgado Paraense Territories and supported by the Federal University of Pará - UFPA. twenty-
one structured interviews were conducted with pre-defined questions at Solidarity Economy
Fairs that took place in the municipalities of Tracuateua, Ananindeua, Cametá and Igarapé Miri,
between march and may of 2016. For the interpretation of the data collected in the interviews,
the content analysis technique was used to assist in the monitoring and evaluation of the fairs
held at the municipal and territorial levels (interviews were conducted with consumers on the
preferences and commercialization of the crab, the main product that had the commercialization
evaluated). Thus, it is hoped to contribute to the debate on the strengthening of Solidarity
Economy Fairs in the municipalities targeted by these actions.
