Productive performance of sustainable agriculture in the production of vegetables in Greenery Always Green Company

This paper reports the experience of the technical visit to the Ribeira site, in the city of Alagoa
Nova-PB, in May 2013, by farmers from the CPT (Pastoral Land Commission) of the municipality
of Guarabira-PB and students of the UFPB / CCHSA, Bananeiras -PB, as part of the
activities carried out by an extension project. The main objective was the socialization of soil
management practices for organic production. Farmers and students present gained in-depth
knowledge of the importance of growing and managing vegetables without the use of agrochemicals,
preservation of the environment and conservation of traditional seeds. The owners
of the site explained the importance of working with strategies that enable organic production
and differentiated quality food products without harming deeply the environment and all the
life forms that surround it, being these basic requirements for the maintenance of biodiversity.
