Keywords:
Agrobiodiversity, Communication, Food and Nutrition SecurityAbstract
This work aims to understand how the narrative of the digital media for the popularization of
NUS - Neglected and Underutilized Species - in Brazil has been given. It is understood that
the NUS is a strategy to valorize the biodiversity of Brazilian biomes, as well as guarantee the
human right to adequate food when worked through public policies with a focus on food. A
non-academic literature review was carried out, that is, informative texts and / or opinion on the
proposed theme of the work. It was identified repetition in the contents published with evident
appreciation of the gastronomic dimension in detriment of others as social, environmental and
economic. It is considered that the broad approach of other dimensions on the NUS is important
for the generation of agroecological knowledge.
