Abstract

The technology advances for large-scale food production have facilitated monoculture and the
abusive use of agrochemicals, increasingly extinguishing natural resources still existing, such
as forests and rivers, and It has been related to the harm to public health. To the detriment of
these practices, public and private institutions with social movements together, seek to strengthen
the actions in the face of the challenges for the agroecology construction. In 2015 was
given the “Agrobiodiversity in family systems course” by NEA Unitas Agroecológica of CEULP
/ ULBRA - Palmas / TO. The job purpose was to report the experiences obtained through the
SAF implementation, following the agroecological principles with the planting of commercial
and ecological species. After the conclusion of the installation, the feasibility of the system
was perceived, awakening productive possibilities and added social value to the economic and
environmental sustainability.
