Internal actions of the nucleus of studies in agroecology (NEAIFF Campus Cambuci) aiming at the promotion of knowledge and practices in agroecology for the North and Northwest Fluminense

Abstract

In view of the agricultural vocation of the Northwest Fluminense region and its surroundings,
the need to implement a Nucleus of Agroecology Studies (NEA-IFF) Cambuci Advanced
Campus was established. The main internal actions of the NEA-IFF are mentioned, aiming at
making the campus a structural model focused on agroecological practices: implementation of
PAIS (Sustainable Agroecological Integrated Production) system, production of organic fertilizer
with earthworms, tank research With alternative food for fish, greenhouse and production
of seedlings and seeds for local producers, socio-cultural and practical events, such as the I
Academic Week / I Exchange of Knowledge meeting. With these and other internal actions,
which are still being implemented, IFF Cambuci Advanced Campus and NEA - IFF become
disseminators of agroecology as a mode of production and philosophy of life.
