The importance of the research group for scientific advances in the production of seedlings with agroecological substrates and for sustainable rural development

Abstract

The present article aims to present experiences of the Research Group, Research and extension
in production of seedlings with alternative substrates of low cost and sustainability with
projects accepted by FAPEMAT (Fund for Research Support in the State of Mato Grosso) And
projects institutionalized by Unemat, without financial resources. Since the creation of this project,
the main results have been contributing to the production of quality seedlings for society
by the students and professors of the State University of Mato Grosso in Nova Xavantina-MT.
The objective is to provide the possibility of broadening the fields of action and action, that is,
to involve the researches with the knowledge of the farmers, making this exchange between
scientific and empirical knowledge, respecting the individualities and limitations of each one. It
reinforces the constant need to provide new sources of financial resources shaped to strengthen
and sustain the potential of the actions that the Nuclei can generate, In particular, everything
that strengthens and improves the quality of life of farmers, therefore the need to have a
relationship between farmers and students.
