Abstract

This work presents the experience of the supervised internship and professional experience at
the Regional Institute of Appropriate Small Farmers - Irpaa, as an opportunity for professional
training to work in the new ATER model, instrumented by Participatory Methodologies, Agroecological
Principles and Living with the Semi - Arid. This supervised internship aimed to contribute
to the training to act as ATER agent in order to respect and dialogue with local knowledge,
the environment, as well as its limitations and potentialities. As a result, it was observed that
the experience of the supervised stage contributed to the technical and professional training,
making it possible as well as allowing greater insertion and development of professional activities
with the families advised by Irpaa.
