Abstract

The continuous use of chemical control, based only on the application of insecticides can cause
population imbalances of natural enemies and acquisition of resistance of the pest to the
products used. One of the alternatives to mitigate such problems, aiming at reducing the number
of applications, is the management of management tactics recommended in the Biological
Control of Pest, which uses techniques to control pests from natural environments, without the
use of insecticides, And which has come in recent years, assuming increasing importance in
IPM programs. Euborellia annulipes are dermápteros that have aroused great attention, since
they are voracious predators. Thus, the feasibility of creating these predators in the laboratory
with a low-cost artificial diet will allow a better cost-effective technique and a better application
of the method, providing the students with knowledge and encouraging them to divulge and
apply these techniques in their professional life.
