rural communities located in the Cusco` Valley, Peru - two situated in the province of Cusco, in
the district of San Jerónimo and the other two situated in the province of Quispicanchis, in the
district of Oropesa. The bibliographical review, the documentary research and the knowlegde
of the professionals of the educational institution Guaman Poma de Ayala guided the prior definition
of the vulnerabilities present in the communities related to Food Insecurity. Through the
application of tools of the Participatory Rural Diagnosis, it was possible to define and prioritize
the problems with the population of the communities. The result generated by the diagnosis
became a mean to approach a plan of action to be carried out by the local groups and competent
