Abstract

The present report seeks to portray the importance of the initial extension actions related to the
implantation of the Agroecology Studies Center (NEA) and its importance for the consolidation
of the technical course integrated in agroecology, also recently implemented in the Cambuci
Advanced Campus of the Federal Fluminense Institute in the scope Of the expansion of the
Federal Institutes’ network as a form of promotion of regional development, based on the tripod
teaching, research and extension that permeates the proposal of these institutes.
