Building knowledge: the interaction of students and family farmers from the northeast of paraense

Abstract

This report presents some of the many experiences accumulated during the period of Supervised
Internship, a discipline integrated to the articulating axes of the Agronomy course of the
Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará, which contributes to the human
formation of the student, extrapolating The limits of the curricular designs and proposing
a new model of education and extension. The approach approached was the characterization
of the Amazonian biophysical environment and the man. The experiments were carried out
in an agricultural establishment of the Benedito Alves settlement, located in the municipality
of Acara, Nordeste Paraense. Experience has shown that science can be built together with
people who demand concrete solutions to their problems and desires.
