Abstract

The present article intends to divulge the experience of the Pés Vermelhos Permaculture Collective
from CCA / UFSCar / Araras / SP in the realization of the 3rd Day of Agroforestry, a
course with the objective of disseminating the agroforestry practice to the academic community
and farmers of the region, through the implementation of a third agroforestry module on
the Araras campus. The implanted Agroforestry System model was composed of herbaceous,
shrub and tree species of medicinal use. The course had a theoretical module on the fundamentals
of agroforestry dynamics, and a practical module, with the realization of a joint effort,
where participants could implement the agroforestry. With this experience, participants, especially
farmers, had the opportunity to learn about the multiple possibilities and models of
agroforestry, strengthening a network of farmers in different municipalities, and enabling them
to implement agroforestry on their farms.
