Abstract

The IFPA-Campus Castanhal in the context of agrarian education focused on the Amazon population,
seeks to insert sustainable discussion in the training of these subjects. The aim of this
study was to carry out the survey of sustainability indicators in the goat and sheep subsystems
of the institution in question, collecting data through interviews and direct observation using
the systemic approach. The methodology used was in accordance with the United Nations
Environment Program, Pressure / State / Impact / Response (PEI / ER). Eleven descriptors
and seventeen indicators were identified. These indicators were selected in a way that allows
the interaction between the economic, social and environmental dimensions. These descriptors
and indicators stand out due to the importance in the development process of the goat
and sheep breeding subsystem in the educational institution and in the technical / theoretical
training of the students.
