Abstract

The present report is included in the scope of the project “Sustainability in Afro-Brazilian Religious
Place of the Federal District (DF) and environment: Food and Nutrition Security, Agroecology
and Natural Resource Conservation”. The project activities are organized in three
axes: agroecology and food security; Conservation and use of natural resources, and social
inovation, aiming to contribute to the sustainability of the Traditional Brazilian Religious Place.
Interethnic, interactive and reflective spaces of dialogue are being created from the biocultural
memory of Terreiros’ people. The workshops are collective knowledge building strategies
to promote learning and exchange aiming at the redesign and implementation of SAFs at
Terreiros. In this way, it is possible to recognize the different actors and knowledge related to
the forms of agriculture as a contribution to Food and Nutrition Security and to the process of
Agroecological transition.
