Abstract

The agroecosystems that produce vegetables and grains, from the Serrana Region of Espírito
Santo, show intensive use of machines for soil preparation and crops with soil exposed to the
sun and inclement weather. The processes of generation and adequate management of cover
biomass interfere in the biological, chemical and physical qualities of the soil, in the biodiversity
of agroecosystems, in the conservation, recovery and use of natural resources. The present
work aims to introduce, evaluate and indicate plant species with potential for use in crop rotation,
for biomass production in no - tillage system and crop rotation
