Fairs of camponesa family farming and organic certification in the baiane semiarid

Abstract

This paper objective to introduce the current frame of organic production of the family units
located in the semi-arid region of Bahia, Brazil, with reference to the most representative territories,
expressed. It has as reference commercialization in the site and territory, for example
family farming fairs and agro-ecological products. Interviews were carried out with MAPA /
Cporg / BA servers; representatives of OCS; promoters of agroecological fairs, as well as collected
Material resulting from the participation in 11 working meetings and seminars promoted
by Bahiater to discuss this theme, with the presence of extension workers and producers; in
addition to consulting the MAPA website in order to collect and systematize data on certifiers
and producers. The data update allowed us to visualize the 40.43% increase in SPG adherence
by small farmers in the two-year review period.
