Ecological management of the tomato wilt complex
Keywords:
Trichoderma asperellum, Strain G08, agroecologyAbstract
For tomato wilting the producers use fungicides which increases costs and affects the ecosystem.
The objectives were: 1) To determine the effectiveness of Trichoderma asperellum on the
complex wilt, 2) To determine the form and time of application and 3) To make an economic estimate
of the treatments. The research was carried out at the Experimental Litoral Sur Station
of INIAP. The cultivars Miramar and Floradade were used; Both with 13 treatments, of which
10 T. asperellum strain G08 (application frequencies were transplantation, 7 days later and
transplantation with 4 additional applications), was compared with GP based on three species
of Trichoderma and Captan at the time of Transplant and an absolute witness. The treatment T.
asperellum only liquid 7 days after transplantation had the lowest percentage wilt; While only
liquid to transplant and 4 applications the best performance, the highest internal rate of return
only liquid 7 days after transplantation.
