Abstract

The present work aimed to verify the effect of different concentrations of Tagetes sp. On the
germination of ‘Brasília’ and ‘Esplanada’ carrot seeds. The seeds treated with commercial
clove oil (Tagetes sp.) Emulsified with the surfactant Tween 80 (1: 1). To this mixture, distilled
water added to obtain the concentrations of 10, 20 and 30% (v / v). The seeds remained immersed
in each concentration for 1 minute. After each treatment, the seeds analyzed by the
germination test. It was concluded that Tagetes sp. Until the concentration of 30% showed,
inert on germinates potential of carrot seeds of ‘Brasília’ and ‘Esplanada’.
