Abstract

The research was carried out in the summer of 2016, in the province of El Oro, Ecuador, with
the objective of analyzing the effect of two biofertilizers with three doses of each on agronomic
responses in beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L) to increase yields. The applied doses were: 50%
less than recommended and 50% above recommended (0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 l / ha), in both biostimulants.
A completely randomized block design (DBCA) was used, with factorial arrangement
of 2 x 3, for 6 treatments in 3 blocks. Executing the method of analysis of variance (ANOVA),
to check if there are statistical differences between the factors or between their interactions. In
the presence of significant differences, the comparison of means was done, through the test of
multiple ranges, Tukey at 5% of probabilities. The biofertilizer Bayfolan Special, showed the best
results for the variables days at harvest and grain weight. The agronomic characteristics grains
per pod and pods per plant did not show significant differences. Algae extract as an organic
compound can replace the inorganic biofertilizer, without diminishing its agricultural yield.
