This study aimed to evaluate the effect of live coverage with; Radish (Raphanus sativus), Black
Oats (Avena Stringosa), Lab-Lab (Dolichos Lab-Lab), radish intercropped with oats Black and
mulch (straw) on the temperature and soil moisture. For this an experiment was conducted in
an Ultisol in the Federal Institute of Paraná - Ivaiporã fields. The ground temperature was determined
by thermometers and humidity soil sample was collected by auger type probe placed
in cans, weighed and then oven dried at 105 ° C for 48 h and weighed again, calculating the%.
The evaluations were performed at 0-10 cm, the 16 h. Thus it was found that the consortium
of live coverage (forage turnip) with mulch (straw), attenuated the thermal and hydro variations
of soil compared with bare soil or with turnip coverage in consortium with Oats Black without
straw.
