Abstract

In field trials agroecological alternatives were tested for the management of three fungi that
infect blackberry (Rubus glaucus Benth): Colletotrichum sp., Peronospora sp. And Botritys sp..
Participatory research was carried out with farmers from the municipalities of Trujillo and Calima-
Darién - Valle del Cauca – Colombia on farms affected by these pathogens. Three months
after lombricompost applications, Trichoderma harzianum and Bacillus subtilis were monitored
and the severity of the attack was drastically reduced. The use of organic inputs reduced costs
by 68% compared to previously used pesticides.
