Organic coffee production systems in Chiapas, Mexico

Coffee is the first agri-food product in Mexico, it has a high economic, social and environmental
impact, of which almost five million Mexicans depend, most of them small organic producers
with crops no larger than 5 ha. The objective of this work is to know the problems of organic
coffee production systems, in an association in four municipalities of the State of Chiapas.
For this research was performed; The characterization of the coffee production systems of
the association Nubes de Oro, data were obtained through reports of organic certification of
production cycles from 2012 to 2016, internal inspection documents and monitoring of coffee
producers. Association. This work will serve to propose solutions to problems that present the
production of organic coffee in this region
