Abstract

Starting from the principle of the organization that the systemic approach seeks, constituting itself
as a fundamental framework for the understanding and the analysis of the operation of a unit of
agricultural production, thus, the objective of the experiment was to provide an integration of the
students to understand from A systemic approach to family agriculture of the PA BAB Settlement,
promoting a broader view of the man-nature relationship, ie as a farmer relates to the local reality.
In order to reach the objective, the experiment was carried out in the PA BAB settlement, in the
municipality of Acará, being used as methodological tools for the recognition and observation of
the area, cross-walks and direct dialogues based on a Term of Reference (TOR) based In the
Participatory Rural Diagnosis (PRD). In this way, the research actions culminated in obtaining
knowledge about the dynamics of observed relationships, including social relations between
family members and the division of labor in the agricultural establishment, as well as the forms
of management that are used to maintain the agroecosystem Through a dynamics of the use of
empirical knowledge in the management of production in the property, divided by familiar productive
units that has in general a territorial extension of approximately 47 hectares.
