Abstract

The Santa Helena PDS settlement project was built and built on an innovative perspective,
with the ideal of sustainable production systems, including 14 families, approved in
December 2004.Eight families of the PDS Saint Helena, are Agroecological Producers,
constitute an OCS Group (Social Control Organization) Nova Santa Helena, formalized
in the year 2014. The collaboration of local partners, such as universities, NGOs, Agroecology
and Environmental Education Centers and, more specifically, the contribution
of agroecological educators, trained by the Agronomy course with an emphasis on
Agroecology (Pronera / UFSCar) enabled the organization and structuring Of a Social
Control Organization (SCO). They conquered, through the collective construction, five
marketing channels, as the opportunities and demands of the Group arose. The five
market channels, conquered and built by the OCS Group, are of paramount importance
for the strengthening of the Group, in organizational and monetary matters, although
each channel has different levels of demands and income generation, despite the agroecological
commitment being the same.
