Abstract

The work was developed in order to treat the water coming from sanitary vessels through the
Evapotranspiration Basin-BET technology, which was implemented to attend the students’ republic
of the Dom José Rodrigues Training Center of the IRPAA, located in Juazeiro, Bahia.
Aiming to disseminate this technology to other rural communities, in view of a salubrious environment,
environmental preservation and agroecological production. The BET is a rectangular
impermanized system, containing a tunnel (anaerobic chamber) and composed of distinct
layers forming a filter, containing soil on its surface for plant cultivation. Its implantation occurred
in the following phases: studies and research related to the subject, construction of the
technology and the cultivation of fruit trees.
