Abstract

The Agroforestry System constitute an agroecological productive strategy of crescent concernment
for family agriculture farmers. Given to the relative scarcity of systematized information
on relation to economic performance of this system, the Embrapa Meio Ambiente and
copartners started in July 2015 a research associated to monitoring and economic evaluation
of agroforestry of farmers in the N/NE São Paulo state Region. In this article are presented
dates relative to the use of labor in a portion of agroecological agroforestry in the Sepé Tiaraju
Settlement, where it was collected qualitative and quantitative data during a year, with periodic
field visits and the collect of the annotations registered by the farmer. Based on these data, this
research present a preliminary discussion about the labor flow and the time spent in each type
of management operation, aiming to identify limiting factors and the technical improvements
necessary to optimize these systems.
