Use of biostimulants in the production of seedlings of Brassica oleracea L.

The objective of this project was to evaluate the influence of the incorporation of biostimulant
(Lithothamnium sp.) on the substrate for the production of seedlings of Brassica oleracea L.
The experimental design was a randomized block design, where the biostimulant Lithothamnium
sp. (0, 3, 6, 9 and 12 g L-1). The experiment was carried out with cabbage and broccoli The
phytotechnical variables analyzed at 50 days after planting were: emergence (%), root length
(cm), leaf number and shoot height (cm). All data were submitted to analysis of variance with F
test and, when significant, means were compared by the Scott-Knott test at the 5% probability
level using the Sisvar software. It is recommended that for the production of cabbage seedlings
butter is not necessary the incorporation of biostimulant composed of Lithothamnium sp. and
foi the production of broccoli it is recommended to add 12 g L-1 of this biostimulant.
