Abstract

The Rondon project is an extension action covering several regions of the country. The focus
of the projects is the university formation and multipliers training in the communities served.
In July 2016, the IFPR Campus Palmas participated for the first time in an Operation in the
municipality of Ibitirama - ES. Among the activities, one of the focuses was environmental
sanitation. The objective was the development of simple and accessible septic tanks for the
treatment of household waste, helping to preserve the environment in the communities. Academics
conducted technical visits to understand the elaboration and operation of the septic tank
system. In practice, in Espírito Santo, four tank systems have been developed in rural communities,
selected because they are places where they can serve as demonstration units. Despite
the punctual performance of popular mobilization and the formation of multiplier agents served
as an incentive for new actions.
