Agroecological experiences in the zona da mata rondoniense region

Abstract

The agroecological experience is based on visits to the farm and field to exchange experiences
among farming families that use agroecological practices in production units and visitors.
The exchange of experiences occurred as a complementary activity during the II Agroecology
and Sociobiodiversity Fair, held on October 16, 2016, in Rolim de Moura, RO. The objective of
the activity was “to allow the exchange of experiences, the deepening of the experience and
the consolidation of agroecological production units”. Thus, it was observed that the transition
to the practice of agroecology occurs mainly, motivated by the harms generated by the consumption
and management of pesticides in the crops. The experiences obtained satisfactory
results, confirmed by the number of people reached, by the interest, curiosity and stimulus
provided by the discourses and practices of the families of farmers working on the construction
of a new model of agriculture in the state.
