Kapi’xawa Organic Farming Group 30 years of construction Agroecological

Abstract

In 2017, the Kapixawa Ecological Agriculture Group, headquartered in the city of Alegre - ES,
celebrates its 30th anniversary. This report aims to share a bit of this trajectory of agroecological
promotion in the region of Caparaó, Itapemirim River Basin. The data were obtained
through documentary research in the collection of the institution and conversation with former
members of the NGO. This made it possible to write, in chronological order, some of the
actions carried out by the Group during its existence. However, it was possible to observe
that the actions carried out by the Kapi’xawa Group contributed in different ways to the diffusion
of agroecological knowledge and the strengthening of family agriculture in the State
of Espírito Santo.
