The importance of implementing the discipline of agroecology from an ecopedagogic view in school curricula

The purpose of this research is discuss the importance of agroecology’s introduction as a
school subject in order to ponder the current paradigm of modern alimentation, post green
revolution with the objective of expand consciousness to the risks we are submitted from agrochemical
and transgenic consumption making it possible to children and young people to become
capable subjects of understanding, analyzing that impact which the ecosystem has been
suffering from incorrect and reckless manipulation only for capitalist purposes. In the course of
the job it became possible to verify that agroecology’s teaching with an ecopedagogical perspective
enable a return for a global consciousness with emphasis in the importance of discussion
in academic means over potential lines of research if it is feasible to revert this situation.
