Experiment of environmental education in settlement projects: considering agroecology and the recovery of degraded areas

Abstract

The present report aims at exposing the experience developed with Environmental Education
(E.A) in 17 projects of settlements in the municipality of Abelardo Luz, Santa Catarina, contracted
by INCRA and coordinated by the company ECODIMENSAO. The work consists of the
action with the families of the lots of these settlements, whose main results were the acceptance
of the information of techniques for the recovery of the conservation areas and of the
basic notions for the implementation of agroecology in the lots of the settlers. The specialized
contracted team enabled the formation of the Agroecological production process and, consequently,
promoted better interinstitutional relations, besides expanding research to advance
their needs. The importance of constantly providing new sources of financial resources for
actions that make it possible to generate information, especially on issues that strengthen the
quality of life of farmers, is reinforced.
