The constitution and action of the agroecology territorial network of the of baiano and pernambucano Sertão of São Francisco

Abstract

This work aims to present and discuss some of the experiences of promoting, building knowledge
and articulating agroecology in the São Francisco, Sertão Baiano e Pernambucano, based
on the actions linked to the Agroecology Territorial Network PE/BA that articulate institutions,
organizations and social movements. It’s intended to analyze a set of actions, its principles
and foundations in order to evaluate their contributions in the context of strengthening agroecology
and its protagonists in the context of the Coexistence with the Semi-Arid and territorial
development. Initial analyzes allow us to evaluate that the growing network articulation and the
capacity for articulation between different social agents and consolidation of agroecology and
the paradigm of Coexistence with the Semiarid.
